      膨润土又名“斑脱岩”，是一种主要有蒙脱石组成的非金属矿产品。具吸湿性和膨胀性，可吸附10－20倍于自身体积的水量，体积膨胀数倍至30余倍。 在水介质中，膨润土能分散呈胶凝状和悬浮状，此混合液具有一定的粘滞性、触变性和润滑性，其与水、泥、沙等细碎屑物的接合，具有较好的可塑性和较好的粘结性，此外，膨润土还具有较强的阳离子交换能力，对各种气体、液体有一定的吸附能力， 吸附量又达8倍于其本身质量。

目前，我厂膨润土产品主要有以下几种类型：

      1、铸造用膨润土：作粘结剂、吸附剂、适用于铸造、陶瓷、环境治理。

      2、造浆用膨润土：作粘结剂、悬附剂、吸水剂，适用于石油钻井、基础工程和建筑水泥。

      3、化工用膨润土：作填充剂、增稠剂、悬浮剂、脱色剂，用于造纸、橡胶、油漆、油墨、日用化工、涂料、纺织。

      4、饲料用膨润土：作粘结剂、吸附剂，用于鸡、鸭、鹅、鱼、猪饲料。

      1 、铸造行业：铸造用膨润土是膨润土 的用户，膨润土应用于铸造主要应用于粘土粘结砂中，因为膨润土具有粘结力强、可塑性高、脱膜好、透气性优、高温湿态条件下物理化学性能稳定等特点。粘土粘结砂作造型材料生产铸件，本是历史悠久的工艺方法，在各种化学粘结砂蓬勃发展的今天，粘土湿型砂仍是 重要的造型材料，其适用范围之广，耗用量之大，是任何其他造型材料都不能与之比拟的。

      2 、钻井泥浆：钻井泥浆用膨润土是膨润土 大的用户，膨润土是一种以蒙脱石为主要组分的粘土类矿物，具有强烈的吸水性，能吸收相当 于本身体积8倍的水，体积膨胀1030倍，在水溶液中呈悬浮和胶凝状态。在进行油、气钻井等项工作时，要使用泥浆来冷却钻头、清除碎屑、保护井壁及平衡地压。膨润土分散性好、出浆量大，因此是制造钻井泥浆的理想材料。用作钻井泥浆的膨润土， 重要的技术要求是悬浮性质、湿筛分析和水分含量。 膨润土在钻井中的重要作用，使它的用量非常大。据了解，平均每采一口井，大约使用膨润土８吨。

      3 、铁矿球团：铁矿球团用膨润土是膨润土第三大的用户，每年用量为45万吨。铁矿球团用膨润土是现代冶金工业的重要附料之一，将精矿铁粉加适量膨润土和水混合后在造球机中滚动成球状，然后干燥预热、焙烧结成有高强度的球团再进行冶炼。

      4、干燥剂 ：膨润土干燥剂具有吸附活性，静态减湿和异味去除等功效。广泛应用于不能采用油封，气相封存的产品中诸如：光学仪器、电子产品、医学保健、食品包装及 产品和民用产品的干燥空气封存。与硅胶相比具有价格低廉，吸附速度快，制备成本低等优点。与目前市售的其它类型干燥剂相比较，不仅吸附速度快，吸附能力高且无毒、无味、无接触腐蚀性、无环境污染等特点，尤其应用于食品包装，对人体无损害。 膨润土干燥剂出口量较大。

      5 、猫砂（颗粒膨润土）：猫砂（颗粒膨润土）采用优质天然膨润土，经过高温干燥精致而成，具有色泽洁白美观，吸附力强，比重小的特点，经久耐用，适用于家庭宠物清洁卫生之用。

      6、 污水处理 ：用膨润土作动物垫圈料处理废水、臭气膨润土能使动物粪便容易分散、清理。由于圈养动物场和屠宰场、水产加工场产生的污水、臭气对环境有害，可在这些场所撒膨润土，回收 肥料。膨润土可作为浑浊水的澄清剂，被污染水的防水剂、污水处理剂等。用膨润土处理印染废 洗涤废水、味精厂等废水、废物，去除率达99.5％。 

      7、建筑工程：利用膨润土上的润滑性，粘结密封性，增稠性及胶凝性制成泥浆，用于各种土壤作业的衬壁防渗，如隔墙建造，灌浆、沉箱、打桩、土地防渗、水泥及混凝土施工添加剂，固体水利运输，污水处理及隧道盾构润滑等。 用膨润土防渗层铺河道，可把有限的水引向远方。膨润土防水层可用天然钠基膨润土粉直接铺，也可以用膨润土与当地土搅拌夯实，也可以将膨润土夹在两层织物之间形成防水(渗)毯(板)，快速修建起储水池、储水窑、输水渠。膨润土可做防水材料，如瓦楞纸板装膨润土的防水板、两层无纺布中间夹膨润土的防水毡和一层无纺布一层塑料板中间夹膨润土的双重防水板，该材料已在地铁、大坝底部、垃圾填埋场地下工程中大量使用。

     8、食品 ：在食品中作食品添加剂及乳化剂，可用作补钙和食品。 膨润土可使果汁、糖汁澄清。    膨润土可使硬水软化。

     9、涂料 ：膨润土在造纸工业用作多功能白色涂料，它还在碎浆机中起抗纵摇吸附剂作用、在机械中起保持剂作用、在纸浆中起流变调整剂作用。 膨润土还可生产涂料。在涂料中作粘滞调节剂和白色矿物填料，可部分或全部代替钛；还可部分取代聚乙烯醇，以及用作无纺布、石膏板颗粒的粘结剂。
